Dear colleagues,
Welcome back! I hope you had a refreshing summer and are looking forward to a fantastic fall.
Yes, I am still your Provost. The search for a permanent Provost begins this fall. In the meantime you have me, and I will do everything I can to make the 2024-25 academic year a great one for all of us.
We ended the 2023-24 year with a lot of announcements. I will update you on those in the weeks ahead. In the meantime you can also find resources and answers on my website through my messages archived here, Faculty Resources and Faculty FAQs. You also can bring questions and concerns to your chair, associate dean, dean, or Faculty Senate representatives.
The new semester begins with lots of excitement, fun events, town halls, headshot sessions and, of course, classes. I hope to see you at the Opening Luncheon on Friday, Chancellor’s Assembly on Saturday and Welcome Home Celebration on Monday.
I encourage you to take an active part in TCU’s future by attending Strategic Plan Town Halls on August 20 and 21.
Need a TCU headshot? Free walk-in photo sessions are available August 21, 9:00-11:00 a.m. in The Harrison, room 1004, and August 22, 9:30-11:30 a.m. in the Tucker Technology Center, room 139. No appointment needed.
TCU is a special place. I am proud to call it home and to have you as my colleagues. My hope is that we stay committed to each other and our students, and show the world what it means to be a member of the Horned Frog family.
Best wishes,
Floyd
