TCU Big 12 Faculty of the Year 2025-26
Kayla Green
Professor of Chemistry
Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies
Davis College of Science & Engineering
“I am a teacher-scholar. It is a part of my identity. Students who have worked with me in the classroom or laboratory know that I value this model to the core. It takes foresight and patience to appreciate the outcomes of the Teacher-Scholar Model because quality, ethics, and curiosity are not data points that go into annual reports. Rather, they are part of the student experience at TCU. Students often come up with some of the best ideas for research projects or challenges in the lab. I am supported to push students to be innovative and challenge theories and ideas, regardless of the situation. This produces more well-rounded, healthy, and confident graduates.”
