Faculty Affairs

Faculty Affairs supports excellence throughout every TCU faculty member’s career at TCU, including recruitment, hiring, mentoring, development, merit review, and promotion and tenure. Faculty Affairs also promotes clarity in Academic Affairs’ policies and practices. Faculty Affairs is led by Associate Provost M. Francyne Huckaby.

 

Academic Chairs and Directors Council
The Academic Chairs and Directors Council is made up of and supports department chairs and program directors. The council meets monthly to discuss challenges, provide insights, and make recommendations on matters of concern for faculty and faculty leaders. Koehler Center for Teaching Excellence

Watermark for Faculty Affairs 
Faculty Affairs utilizes the Watermark software platform to simplify data collection and automate tasks for Faculty Success, Annual Reports, and Promotion and Tenure. Faculty and administrators spend less time on manual data entry, easily manage professional profiles, see career paths clearly, find answers, run reports quickly, and manage data with confidence.

  • Faculty Success 
    This central hub for faculty activity data provides deep insights into faculty contributions to support career growth. This platform reduces manual work, simplifies the tracking and management of faculty accomplishments, and provides better information for everyone. Scroll for more information about TCU’s Watermark Faculty Success. To access Faculty Success in Watermark:

  • Faculty Annual Reports 
    Regular, full-time faculty members are required to submit annual reports in January each year through Watermark Faculty Success. These may be used for recommendations for merit-based salary adjustments. All full-time faculty have access to Watermark Faculty Success using Single Sign-On (SSO).   • Promotion, Tenure and Emeritus Cycle 
    Promotion, tenure, and emeritus (PTE) candidates, committees, unit admins, department chairs, deans, and provost office will add materials, review them, and make recommendations in Watermark. Click here for guides, instructions and deadlines.
  • Student Perception of Teaching (SPOT)
    TCU Institutional Research manages TCU SPOT survey, which is hosted on Watermark. Click here for SPOT information.
