Provost FAQs 10/20/21

Dear Colleagues,

I hope everyone enjoyed a restful and rejuvenating Fall Break. There are many things happening in Academic Affairs, and I am pleased to bring you the news each week.

Dean Searches

We have initiated searches for the dean of the John V. Roach Honors College and the Teresa Ann Carter King Dean of the College of Fine Arts. Attached are the lists of the members of the two search committees. I extend my thanks to them in advance as they undergo these vital searches for future leaders at TCU. I also extend my profound appreciation to Dean Richard Gipson and Interim Dean Ronald Pitcock for their continued steadfast leadership through an exceptionally challenging time. You both demonstrate all that is good about TCU.

Inclusive Excellence Speaker This Friday

I hope you will take an hour of your time this Friday, 1:00-2:00 p.m., to listen to Michael Sorrell, president of Paul Quinn College, as he kicks of our first Inclusive Excellence Speaker Series. During Dr. Sorrell’s 13 years with Paul Quinn, the college has become nationally renowned as it remakes higher education to serve the needs of under-resourced students and communities. Dr. Sorrell is among the World’s 50 Greatest Leaders (Fortune Magazine) and 31 People Changing the South (Time Magazine). I know he will deliver an inspiring perspective. Faculty Annual Reports

It is time for full-time faculty to submit their annual reports online through the Faculty180 system. These annual reports are used in formulating recommendations for merit salary adjustments. For information on how, when and what to submit, click here.

Protecting the Purple

As shown on the attached up-to-date chart, our case counts continue to remain low as our Horned Frogs get and report vaccinations, get tested and report positive tests, and wear masks indoors on campus. Thank you for helping us stay safe and connected.

Best regards,

Teresa Abi-Nader Dahlberg

Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
