Outstanding Faculty Nominated for University Awards for Teaching, Research and Creativity

It is easy to see why these professors stand out when reading comments students made in support of their professors being nominated for the 2024 Deans’ Award for Teaching and the Deans’ Award for Research and Creativity.

“Consistently finds ways to connect students with the material and brings a bright and engaging personality to the classroom.”

“It is hard not to feel self-doubt and stress. All of that melted away walking into [their] room.”

“Balance of kindness, professionalism, and desire for [their] students to succeed academically.”

“Made me so excited to see what my future holds.”

Each year, 16 full-time faculty from each college and school are nominated by their peers for the Deans’ Award for Teaching and the Deans’ Award for Research and Creativity, two of the highest university-wide awards at TCU. All deans meet to deliberate on the nominees and vote for the three winners for each award. Each award winner receives $2,500. Winners will be announced May 1.

Congratulations to these 16 deserving nominees for the 2024 awards.
