Important Campus Adjustments for Friday, Oct. 4, Game Day

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff:

As we gear up for an exciting evening of football at home against the University of Houston next Friday, Oct. 4, please be aware of several important adjustments to accommodate faculty, staff and students, plus game day guests, on a weekday.

Friday, Oct. 4, will remain a standard workday and class day, but accommodations will be made for remote or online work where possible. For those with onsite duties that require access to campus on that Friday, parking arrangements have been made and will be communicated via email. If you have questions about your requirements for that day, please contact your supervisor or professor.

Academic Affairs
To minimize disruptions caused by game day activities and limited parking, academic units will transition to a virtual format or provide an assignment for the day or, in some cases, hold limited in-person labs and classes. General plans for each college are available here. Students, your professors will provide information about arrangements for your class. Modified parking lot maps and information can be found on the TCU Parking & Transportation website.

Student Affairs
Certain parking areas will be restricted, so please utilize the alternative parking lots and shuttle services available on game day. Detailed game day transportation and parking information can be found online. Dining, library and other services and facilities will operate normally. For updates on other on-campus events for the day, check the TCU calendar.

Human Resources
If your role does not require you to be on campus to perform critical services for the health, safety and security of the campus community, support the presence of TCU’s residential community or fulfill agreements with the public for the use of TCU facilities, you are asked to work remotely (off-campus). Most departments will operate with a limited number of on-site employees, and this information will be communicated by your department or division leader/supervisor. Parking information can be found online. For information regarding timekeeping and payroll go to the HR homepage or discuss with your supervisor.

If you have any questions, please contact the following:
• Academic Affairs: Contact your supervisor or dean
• Student Affairs: studentaffairs@tcu.edu
• Human Resources: askhr@tcu.edu

Thank you for your cooperation in accommodating our campus needs for this day. We anticipate hosting additional weekday football games in future seasons as part of our Big 12 conference agreement with other university partners. It requires some adjustments to ensure the smooth operation of our campus, so we appreciate you. Please communicate directly with your professor, chair, dean or supervisor if you have additional questions.

Go Frogs,
Floyd Wormley, Interim Provost
Kathy Cavins Tull, Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs
Yohna Chambers-Hastings, Vice Chancellor of Human Resources
