Faculty Insight, Finals, FSC, Commencement

There is a lot of activity happening as we head toward the end of the semester. Below are important reminders and events. I especially encourage you to attend the training sessions for Faculty Insight. This new platform helps you discover collaborators, funding prospects, award opportunities and more, all in one place.

Faculty Insight Training

The Office of Research and Creative Activity is providing Faculty Insight, a new platform from Academic Analytics. On April 14 and 15, this Tuesday and Wednesday, experts from Academic Analytics will be on campus to lead workshops covering Tools for Exploring Research Funding, Honorific Awards, Potential Collaborators and more. You also can sign up for individual sessions on Profile Development.  Click here for session dates and times and to sign up.

Final Exams and Grades

A  final evaluative exercise must be administered in all classes during finals week, May 4-8. The only exceptions are students with more than two finals in 24 hours and students whose final exam conflicts with a major religious holiday. Grades must be submitted within 48 hours of the final, with all grades due by Monday, May 11, at 9:00 a.m.

FSC Workshops in May

By popular demand, we are providing May workshops to help you include FSC in your existing courses. This initiative for TCU’s accreditation provides a stipend for completing the workshops and teaching your first course. Fall workshops are also available. A New Commencement Experience

I encourage you to attend our reimagined May Commencement Experience. There will be a huge celebration for all on Friday evening, plus individual Academic Convocations for each school on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.  Join me to applaud our newest Horned Frog alumni.
