Annual Reports, FSC, Finals, Sabbatical, Piper Nominee

Dear faculty colleagues,

Before we head into Thanksgiving next week, here are some reminders, deadlines, opportunities and announcements to help you prepare for the end of the semester, and, yes, the beginning of the next one.

Annual Reports Due Jan. 15, Training Session Nov. 20
Full-time regular faculty will be submitting your annual reports through Watermark Faculty Success, which replaces Faculty180. Most of your information was transferred from Faculty180. You’ll find instructions, FAQs and training session (first one is Nov. 20), here under Faculty Resources-Annual Reports.

Info Session for FSC Dec. 3
If you are curious about embedding Finding Ourselves in Community (FSC) into your courses, come to an info session, Wed., Dec. 3, 2:00-3:00 p.m., Palko 227. Snacks and swag will be provided. Click here for workshop dates, times and applications.

Final Evaluative Exercise
A final evaluative exercise is required during the final exam timeline for all courses since it counts toward the minimum class credit hours. If your course is delivered in person, then the final is in person. If your course is designed to be delivered online only, then the final is delivered online. Remember, you no longer have to submit final grades early for graduating seniors. Final grade deadline for all students is 9:00 a.m., Monday, December 15, 2025.

Sabbatical Policy Passes
After making some tweaks from the feedback we received from you, the Sabbatical Policy was approved by Cabinet.  The policy, available via the Faculty Handbook, will go into effect Fall 2026 for all tenured and tenure-track faculty.

2026 Piper Professor Nominee
The Piper Foundation honors effective and dedicated teachers across Texas. TCU’s nominee for 2026 is Michelle Bauml, the Clotilda Winter Professor of Education and professor of Early Childhood Education. Her research and teaching validate that children need ample opportunities for creative expression, play and meaningful instruction. Congratulations on representing TCU as our nominee, Dr. Bauml. We look forward to the announcement of 2026 honorees in the spring.

Best wishes,
Floyd
