Mark Your Calendars: Campus-wide Celebration on Aug. 20

Dear TCU Faculty and Staff,

This fall semester, we will continue building excitement for Texas Christian University’s Sesquicentennial, which will culminate in fall 2023.  Your colleagues across campus have reimagined ways for the TCU community to gather and celebrate the start of the 2022-2023 academic year in anticipation of a unique historical moment – TCU’s 150th. To mark this special occasion TCU will host a new event the evening of Saturday, August 20.

Please see below for important details about this year’s Frog First Family Dinner, Chancellor’s Assembly & Convocation and a celebration in the Campus Commons.

Frog First Family Dinner – This unique and beloved TCU tradition invites all faculty and staff to share the meal and help welcome our newest Horned Frogs. An official save-the-date and invitation will be emailed to all faculty and staff in the coming weeks. When you RSVP you’ll be assigned to a table. Mark your calendars now – the RSVP link is active. [insert link]

Chancellor’s Assembly & Convocation –The entire campus community is invited to this year’s Chancellor’s Assembly. Chancellor Boschini will bring together Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and student government leaders to join in as we officially kickoff the beginning of the new academic year and ceremoniously “pass the light of knowledge.” This new format for the Chancellor’s Assembly combines elements of our traditional convocation and a “state of the university address.” This year, the new Chancellor’s Assembly takes the place of our traditional convocation format. Attire is casual and faculty are not required to wear regalia. RSVP is not required and faculty and staff are invited to bring their families.
