FSC Workshops for Faculty

Finding Ourselves in Community (FSC) is a comprehensive plan, not a course. The concepts can be embedded into any course for any major or minor, but mainly is included in Core Curriculum courses. Our goal is to strengthen as many courses as possible across campus to align with FSC learning outcomes by providing specialized training to help full-time faculty embed FSC into existing courses across all disciplines. Your participation is acknowledged with a $2,000 stipend.

What Faculty Are Saying

“The workshops were a rich educational experience, and the time invested was worthwhile. The facilitators were outstanding.”

“It is a great opportunity to get to know colleagues across different disciplines.”

“The training helped me think more deeply about how to be a good teacher. It wasn’t any one lesson or some secret teaching technique. Rather, it helped me think more deeply about my interactions with students and how to modify my approach as we think about the array of experiences students and professors bring to the classroom.”
