Welcome Bernard Rousseau, Ph.D., MMHC, CCC-SLP, ASHA Fellow, as the Marilyn and Morgan Davies Dean of the Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences. Dr. Rousseau begins on June 30.
Dr. Rousseau’s 20 years of experience in leadership roles at three Top 100, Carnegie R1 institutions – Vanderbilt University, University of Pittsburgh, and Saint Louis University – make him the ideal choice to lead Harris College to achieve unprecedented levels of success in teaching, learning, scholarship, research, and discovery.
I am impressed with his capability to build departments and academic programs, support growth through fundraising and development, and leverage his experience as an NIH-funded clinician scientist to mentor faculty. His collaborative style, dedication to student success, and support of faculty and staff will ensure that Harris College has the resources necessary to lead in the development of healthcare professionals and meet the workforce demands throughout the region.
I thank the search committee for their time and commitment to filling this important role, and Susan Weeks and Emily Lund for serving as co-chairs.
