Assignments Over Breaks

As stated in the Faculty Handbook

 

Coursework should not be due during University breaks. From when classes recess to when they resume, as defined by the University Registrar, faculty should not expect students to work on nor submit coursework. This does not apply to continuing work on existing long-term projects, completing make-up work or work related to Incomplete (I) grades, and maintaining knowledge of material and skills. The TCU Faculty Senate, in its role as the representative body of the TCU faculty, joined the TCU Student Government Association in supporting this Faculty Handbook language in 2024, to support student mental health while also recognizing the varying access to technological resources when students are away from campus.
