Piper Professors

Piper professors, TCU's best professors

The Piper Professor Award, established in 1958, recognizes outstanding college professors in Texas. The highly selective award bestows $5,000 each to 10 professors annually from across the state, honoring their dedication to the teaching profession and their outstanding academic, scientific and scholarly achievement. Universities must be invited to participate via letter from the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation to the President. Nominations are made internally, emphasizing wide faculty participation. Each university may submit one candidate. Candidates must be full-time instructors.

Contact your Dean’s Office to submit nominations.

Deadline: Nominations for the academic year are due November 15 of each calendar year.
