University’s First Inclusive Excellence Speaker Series Launches Oct. 22

The Office of Academic Affairs and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion are teaming up to present TCU’s first Inclusive Excellence Speaker Series this fall.

“The Inclusive Excellence Speaker Series provides a platform to facilitate dialogue and share the latest research and scholarship to help TCU build and sustain an inclusive environment where we all can thrive,” said Floyd Wormley, associate provost for research and dean of graduate studies. “The highlighted research will be applied toward improvements in our curriculum and teaching methods to create an excellent student learning experience and promote the academic success of all students, no matter their demographics.”

Aisha Torrey-Sawyer, interim senior advisor to the chancellor and chief inclusion officer, said the series is an opportunity for faculty, staff and students to engage with high-level professionals that are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion.

“Through a series of discussions or workshops, our TCU community will gain some insight from national experts who will share exemplary examples on how everyone can contribute to this important work,” she said.
