Spring is finally here, which provides our campus with beautiful tulips as well as an influx of opportunities for teaching and learning. I encourage you to step out and enjoy the weather and join your colleagues for these and many other events.

Green Honors Chair Events

Each year, our colleges and schools bring esteemed national and international scholars and artists to campus to stimulate new ideas, enrich intellectual exchange and encourage relations with our surrounding community. Finding Ourselves in Community Workshops

Applications are now open for our second cohort of faculty members from across campus to participate in workshops in Fall 2023 to teach your modified class in Spring 2024. Finding Ourselves in Community is a five-year Quality Enhancement Plan to embed learning outcomes to help students from all majors develop skills to interact with people who are different from themselves. A stipend is provided for the workshops. Find more information and apply.

DEI Speaker Series

TCU is fortunate to host Dolores Huerta, renowned civil rights activist and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient, to campus on Wednesday, March 29, 6:00 p.m., in the BLUU Ballroom. This DEI Speaker Series event, hosted by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, commemorates Cesar Chavez Day, TCU’s 150th Celebration and Women’s History Month. The event is free but registration is required. Register here.

The Center for Digital Expression is partnering with the Koehler Center, Department of English and Fine Arts to host a workshop on Friday, March 31, 12:30-2:00 p.m., Insights from the Generative AI Classroom: Adventures in Teaching & Learning.” An expert in software engineering and computational linguistics will be a featured presenter.
