WORKSHOP FACILITATORS

Dr. Kevin Kumashiro
Dr. Kevin Kumashiro is an internationally recognized expert on educational policy, school reform, teacher preparation, and educational equity and social justice, with a wide-ranging list of accomplishments and awards as a scholar, educator, leader and advocate. In recent years, Dr. Kumashiro has supported a vast number and array of schools and districts, colleges and universities, organizations and networks, and others across the U.S. and around the world, to strengthen capacities to act collectively, strategically, and impactfully in advancing equity and justice in education. Dr. Kumashiro earned his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

 

Dr. Jeanne Hey
Dr. Jeanne Hey is an experienced professional development facilitator and coach, specializing in
leadership development for leaders working in higher education. She is the author of The Balancing Acts of Academic Leadership. Dr. Hey draws on more than 30 years of teaching experience, including 19 years in leadership. She creates engaging workshops that are interactive and carry long-term impacts. Her sessions are tailored to fit the needs of each institution and include one-on-one coaching and counseling. Dr. Hey earned her Ph.D. in political science from The Ohio State University.
