Hybrid Certification

What is Hybrid Certification?

  • Hybrid Certification through the TCU Koehler Center is required and designed to support a smooth hybrid course experience, in-person and online, for instructors and students, as well as meet SACSCOC guidelines. There are three elements: TCU Online Skills Workshops; Hybrid Design and Delivery Course; and a One-on-One Consultation.

Full-time Instructors

  • Starting Spring 2022, only full-time instructors of record will be required to complete Hybrid Certification.
  • The certification must be completed within 12 months of their start date.

Adjuncts

  • Adjuncts starting Spring 2022 onwards are not required to complete Hybrid Certification; however, if a Dean or Department Chair would like to have an adjunct faculty member obtain Hybrid Certification, the adjunct faculty member may be referred to the Hybrid Certification Training Information page where they will find guidance on how to begin the certification process.

Stipends

  • Stipends for Hybrid Certification will no longer be offered past Fall 2021.
