Commencement Class of 2020

A Commencement for the Class of 2020 will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 7, 2021, in Amon G. Carter Stadium. The order of ceremony is: AddRan, Brite, Communication, Education, Fine Arts, School of Interdisciplinary Studies, Neeley, Science & Engineering and Harris. Faculty and staff will need to report no later than 3:30 p.m. Please allow time for traffic congestion.

Commencement Class of 2021

May 2021 Commencement will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. (AddRan, Education, School of Interdisciplinary Studies and Neeley) and 5:00 p.m. (Brite, Communication, Fine Arts, Science & Engineering & Harris College) in Amon G. Carter Stadium.

9 a.m. Commencement – Faculty and staff will need to report no later than 8:30 a.m.
5 p.m. Commencement – Faculty and staff will need to report no later than 4:30 p.m.

Please allow time for traffic congestion.

All Ceremonies

All faculty and adjunct faculty are invited to participate in any or all ceremonies in the faculty processions. Also, any staff with advanced degrees employed on at least a three-quarter-time basis are invited to participate. (College and school deans and cabinet members do not need to register.) Register to process no later than Thursday, April 22 by sending an email to n.styles@tcu.edu. Be sure to indicate which Commencement/s you’ll be participating in, as well as your box number for receiving a parking pass and further instructions.

To order regalia, please email our Jostens representative, Dawn Prejean, at dawn.prejean@jostens.com by Monday, April 5. Please provide the following information:

  • name
  • highest degree earned
  • awarding institution, city and state
  • rental items needed – gown (height), tam (hat size) or mortarboard/cap and tassel (hat size)
  • and hood.

Regalia must be picked up at the TCU Campus Store, 2950 W. Berry, on Monday, May 3, thru Thursday, May 6, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The University will pay half of your rental fee after the fact. For reimbursement, deliver your completed reimbursement form, signed by your chair, dean or supervisor, with your receipt, to the Office of the Provost.

TCU COVID-19 safety protocols and social distancing will be followed.
