Room Reservations

University Debate Chamber – Scharbauer Hall

Reservations for the Debate Chamber are made through Wendy Bell.

The University Debate Chamber is a performance-based space for debates, oratorical events and contests, classes for debates and speeches, and VIP guest lecturers. This space may not be reserved for meetings or conferences.

  • Seating: 68. Chairs or additional furniture may not be brought into the Chamber. Furniture may not leave the Chamber.
  • Reservations: Only TCU faculty and staff may reserve the Debate Chamber and must be present at all events.
  • Food/Drink Allowed: No
  • Tech Support: Contact Instructional Services, 817-257-7121, at least 72 hours before your event if you have technology requirements. They will brief you on the use of the computer and document camera 30 minutes before your event. If you have already been briefed, you will not need this service.

Please leave the room in the same condition you found it. Projections screens should be raised, window shades should be up and lights should be off.

Rees-Jones Hall

Reservations for these rooms in Rees-Jones Hall are made through Michelle Chappell.

 

The Incubator Lab

The Incubator Lab is an interdisciplinary event and meeting space for the collaboration and generation of ideas and projects. To facilitate brainstorming, writeable walls surround the space, and tables and chairs can be arranged in different positions. The room features up-to-date technology. Reservations can be made for single-day or multi-day use, and for this reason, reoccurring events such as classes or department meetings cannot be scheduled in the Incubator Lab.

The Global Seminar Room

The Global Seminar room allows users to connect with others via video conferencing software with a hardwired connection for less delay, whether meeting with someone across Fort Worth or across the globe. The tiered arrangement seats up to 30 people, which allows every person to have a desk and a good view of one of the two front displays. Reservations can be made for single-day or multi-day use, and for this reason, reoccurring events such as classes or department meetings cannot be scheduled in the Global Seminar room.

The Atrium of Rees-Jones Hall

The Atrium of Rees-Jones Hall can be reserved for events ranging from an informal gathering between proceedings in other reserved rooms to a formal dinner seating up to 80 people. Food and drink are allowed in the Atrium; however, it is recommended that the location for food and drink arrangement be discussed with the confirmation of the reservation to ensure it does not interfere with academic activities or other reservations.
