UNIVERSITY CONTRIBUTIONS TO RETIREMENT

ON “ADDITIONAL PAY” FOR FACULTY POLICY

 

 

             I.      University contributions to retirement will not be made on:

 

A.    Summer pay

 

B.   Overload pay (including MLA courses)

 

C.   Salaries form grants/contracts unless reimbursable from the grant or contract

 

D.   Stipends for temporary assignments (e.g., acting chair or interim director)

 

          II.      In addition to those categories designated in the Handbook for Faculty and Staff, University contributions to retirement will be paid on:

 

A.    Stipends for continuing assignments, such as:

 

Assistant/Associate Dean

 

Department Chair

 

Program Director

 

Nursing Chair

 

Pre-law Advisor

 

B.  For faculty on leaves of absence with full or partial pay, retirement contributions will be made only on salaries actually received.
